PRECIS                  :         Nandita Das’ Newton’s Law tells that the poet was inattentive in the science class in one day. The teacher saw her, and asked her to explain Newton’s Law of Gravity and mass. Since she did not know, she fell off the floor. The teacher congratulated her for the demonstration.
PRE CONDITION :         The learner should
                                    - have scientific spirit
                                    - know how to comprehend a poem by answering
                                      questions

The teacher interacted with the students and initiates a discussion on the title Enlightening Minds and the titular picture. 

By that picture the teacher could directly lead the students to the lesson.
Asked one of the students to write the name of the poem on the white board
READ OUT
The teacher reads the poem with proper stress, intonation and pause. Then the teacher asked the students to read the stanzas silently and loudly respectively.
WORD FINDER
Pupil are asked to find out the difficult words and the teacher presents the meaning in a laptop or flash card.

flounder : to be unsure about what to do or say
SYNOPSIS
The teacher summarises the portion to the students
In Newton’s Law, the poet remembers an incident which had happened during her school days. She even ponders over the mistakes she had committed then by being inattentive in class.
SCRUTINIZE DIGESTION
Teacher asked some questions to check the understanding level of the learners
1.     Why didn’t the poet look up at the teacher?
2.     Why couldn’t she answer the question?
3.     Why did the class roar with laughter?
4.     How did the poet demonstrate Newton’s Law?
5.     “I look back upon this and ponder”. Explain.

PRECIS               :         A comic strip is a sequence of drawings arranged in interrelated panels to display humour or form a narrative, often serialized, with the text in balloons and captions.
PRE CONDITION       :         The learner should read and analyse the short story The Last Leaf.
AMENITY     :    Course book, Laptop, Whiteboard, Flash card
